Caricature Artist
African and Carribean art

Self portrait caricature of the artist

Femi discovered his interest in creativity from the ripe age of six. Struck and Inspired by the magic of Rolf Harris drawing caricatures of his audience, he turned to his mum and said 'that's what I want to be when I grow up.

On graduating with a major in Painting in 1988, his career developed from exhibiting paintings (which have travelled world wide). His prefered medium is Acrylic on canvas.

African painter, paintings of Africa

Acrylic on canvas black art

However, he is also flexible in his use of media. He also delved into illustration within this period. In 1995,he developed his cartoon and caricaturing skills. However, it wasn't until meeting Paul Baker and Simon Ellinas that his hope of making a career as a Caricaturist began to materialise.. They very generously invited him to the Cartoonists Club of Great Britain. His career has steadily developed from then on with immense support from his colleagues. As an on the spot Caricaturist, he renders warm, cheerful caricatures. They are pleasing to the eye and the subject and others enjoy them.
