My
focus has always been drawn to the world of Art and visual art
in particular. When I was 9 years old I was prizewinner in a national
painting competition and I experienced and I began to enjoy the
acknowledgement I received and also was able to reach a broad
audience through visual art and design.
Biography
Studied
BA (Hons) Sculpture at Chelsea School of Art
Postgraduate Printmaking Diploma at Brighton Polytechnic until
1984
My
first exhibition while studying at Chelsea was an group exhibition
at the ICA (Institute of Contemporary) in the Mall in |London
and work was sold to a client in Japan.
During
the period of attending Printmaking Post Graduated course, a screenprint
work was selected to to represent the college and hung at the
Royal Academy of Art
in
Piccadilly, London in A Trophy exhibition.
During
the final Brighton PG Diploma exhibition I was selected as prize-winner
in a TVS mural competition to carry out a mural project on the
South coast.
I
was awarded an Artist in Residence position in South Wales and
carried out a number of commissions and community projects within
the Screen print media.
